Have you ever had any good or bad experiences with public transportation at a foreign country?

I always use the Google Maps application on my phone whenever I visit a country. I can use it offline, create custom travel maps, add multiple stops to my journey, and find the best navigation route. It shows which bus or train to take, how long it would take, and the cost. I once visited Vietnam and moved around the country with the help of Google Maps and Uber. In the daytime, I would follow the directions from Google Maps and take buses from one place to another. In the nighttime, I would call Uber to go back to the hotel after a long day. It was a pleasant experience, and it gave me the confidence to travel anywhere around the world, as long as I have the app and my mobile phone.
