Day 3 - Do’s and Don’ts

Level 4

Do Not Be Loud

  • 맛집영어 영어수강 영어교재 이미지
  • People in Sweden do not talk loudly. They appreciate and love silence. Swedish people are normally very quiet, calm, and relaxed people. They do not feel awkward or uncomfortable with silence. Visitors to Sweden sometimes misunderstand that the Swedish people are not very friendly, but this is not true. Swedish people only speak if there is something to say. They consider it very rude when someone speaks loudly. Visitors to Sweden are encouraged to speak in a softer tone. This is especially true when they are speaking on the phone in public. The only time that the Swedish people are loud or talkative is at parties and holidays.
