Do Be Diplomatic

Similar to a lot of western cultures, America as a society is more civil minded in their dealings with each other. Respect for others is one of the core values of the culture. With so many people from different cultures, beliefs, religions, and value systems, such respect and consideration is very important in American society. Visitors to America need to be aware and conscious of the things that they say. Asking someone questions or making comments on sensitive topics such as how much money people make, where they live, how old they are, or their appearance, will not be well received. Practicing diplomacy and political correctness are very important in America.
