Maine, Vermont, and West Virginia are the top three states with the highest number of Caucasians. Over 90 percent of the population in these three states are Caucasians. The ancestry of Caucasians in America can be traced back to many European countries, including England, Ireland, Italy, and France. The Norse, a Germanic people living in Scandinavia at the time of the Viking Age, were the first Europeans to settle in America. One early Italian explorer, Christopher Columbus, paved the way to the colonization of America.

My home country Malaysia has three major. ethnic groups, the Malays, Indians, and Chinese. Of the three major ethnic groups, the Malays have the highest population number at 67 percent. The second largest ethnic group would be the Chinese, at 24 percent. This is followed by the Indian population at about 7 percent. The rest of the population of Malaysia falls under “Others,” which consists of non-Malay indigenous people such as the Dayaks, Ibans, and Bidayuhs.
