According to the 2020 publication of the Michelin guide, France has the most Michelin stars in the world. Having a Michelin star means the restaurant is very prestigious. One star means that it is a good restaurant, two stars mean that it is worth a try, and three stars mean a very special experience. Once a restaurant receives a Michelin star, it must make sure that it works to keep the Michelin star. Michelin stars can also be taken away from restaurants.

Q. Have you ever eaten at a Michelin-star restaurant?

A. No, to be honest, it is out of the question for me to afford to eat at a place like that. Having a meal at a Michelin-star restaurant would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I don't think I would enjoy it. I would feel guilty spending that much money on just one meal.
However, I've seen a program on TV that introduces Michelin restaurants. I noticed that the ambience was quiet and speaking tones were lower. The lighting around the table was very good so people could clearly see what they were eating. The room decor was high-end. It was an atmosphere that seemed to be ready to have a good time. The level of friendliness of the staff looked outstanding. Customers never felt uncomfortable or out of place. They could ask any questions about the dishes. Customers also never feel rushed to leave but feel rewarded for eating at the restaurant. All the meals have wonderful plating decorations.
