Day 29 - Do you get stressed a lot?

  • We are living in a world full of hassles, frustrations, and demands. Stress has become so common for everyone that people often give up dealing with it anymore. Stress isn’t always bad. When you think about it, a little stress in your life can actually motivate you. However, we need to remember that when you are constantly under too much stress, your mind and body will suffer. This can cause you to burn out and not feel motivated in life.
Stress is a normal physical response that you get when you are frustrated or threatened. When you are stressed, your body and mind react to it immediately. For example, we usually get stressed the night before exams, when writing an entrance essay for university, or from peer pressure. When people are stressed, they feel a sudden headache, unknown heartburn, lack of concentration or sleep, deep depression, and so on. These symptoms are warning you to stop doing what you are doing and give yourself a break to rebuild your strength.
It might not be easy to deal with your stress, but it is very important to do so whenever you are warned, because a bit of stress can change your entire life. We should be in charge of our body and mind and not put too much on our plates. Start managing your time, schedule, work, emotions, and people around you. Don’t try to start big; start with relaxing your body and mind first. Don’t worry too much about anything. Self-control is the power to reduce stress. Once you are under stress, don’t think about it. Instead, enjoy something you like. Getting anxious will just make your life worse. Go out and see a movie, listen to music, talk with your friends, catch up on your sleep, or get some exercise! Remember that a pinch of stress can give you a challenge to transform you to a better version of yourself, but a careless mind will cause you to come apart at the seams.
