Day 15 – Music

  • 맛집영어 영어수강 영어교재 이미지

  • My sister Mandy is obsessed with music! She said listening to music is the most pleasant activity. Every evening, loud music is coming from her room. My parents gave up telling her to lower the volume because she never does. She will graduate from college soon, and she has an important exam ahead. She even listens to music while studying for an exam. She insisted that music helps her to relax and focus on studying. She also said music helps her memorize better. My parents will never understand my sister and are not on the same page when it comes to the importance of music.

My sister likes all kinds of music, she isn’t picky when it comes to what she listens to. It really depends on how she is feeling at the moment or what she is trying to do. When she studies, she plays classical music super loud so I can hear it too down the hall. When she is getting ready in the morning, she plays pop music, so she gets energized and starts her day in a happy way. She says she doesn’t have a favorite genre, but I think rock is her favorite. She usually listens to this when she wants to chill out and relax after a long day.

I am fine with music, and it doesn’t usually bother me when she is playing music all day, but it is hard when I am trying to sleep, and she is still up studying or talking with friends. Then it’s a real bother. But when she finally falls asleep, the silence that follows is music to my ears.
