I visited British Columbia in Canada about seven years ago and I had the best ‘char siew’ meat that I have ever had in any country! Char siew is a Chinese roasted lean pork meat. It is thinly sliced and served with white rice. The most important thing about char siew is the sauce. The sauce determines whether the char siew rice is delicious or not. It was even better than the authentic char siew meat rice that I had in Chinatown in my hometown San Francisco! It was my pleasure to introduce it to all my friends!
