The official religion in Malaysia is Islam. By law, all Malays are Muslim. Islam is what distinguishes a Malay from a non-Malay in Malaysia. The Chinese in Malaysia do not have a dominant religion. Most Chinese practice Confucianism, Buddhism, Daoism, and a small percentage are Christians. Most Indians in Malaysia practice Hinduism.

말레이시아의 공식 종교는 이슬람교이다. 법적으로 모든 말레이시아인들은 이슬람교도이다. 이슬람교는 말레이시아의 말레이인과 비말레이인을 구별하는 것이다.
말레이시아의 중국인들은 우세한 종교를 가지고 있지 않다. 대부분의 중국인들은 유교를 실천하며 불교, 도교, 그리고 소수만이 기독교인이다. 말레이시아의 대부분의 인도인들은 힌두교를 믿는다.

when you think of the Islam religion?

A. I do not know much about the Islam religion, but I admire the Muslim women for their modesty. Muslim women keep their hair and body covered regardless of the temperature. I cover my body completely with warm clothing in the winter, but it's hard for me to cover my body completely with clothes in the summertime. It must be very hot for them to cover their bodies completely but I admire Muslim women for their conviction to do so in hot weather.
